Google to Spend $12M on Cybersecurity Research at CUNY, NYU, Columbia and Cornell

Four New York universities will launch cybersecurity research projects over the next three years to develop new technology to keep people and businesses safe online and to bolster the local cybersecurity ecosystem.

Google is funding the program with $12 million, part of a $10 billion cybersecurity initiative the company launched in 2021. The City University of New York, Columbia University, Cornell University and New York University will each get $1 million for research projects each year for the next three years.
